Time for another update. Here's what I did during my winter vacation (in 500 words or less).
- 1st ed AD&D in Shadowdale. We did some overland and town adventuring. I joined the local assassin's guild. We went on a mission to free a maiden, turned out to be a succubus so I sent her back to the abyss. Which got our evil cleric in trouble with his temple. Ah, well. Now we're just outside what's supposed to be a white dragon's lair, but there sure are a lot of giant-sized humanoid footprints around. Hmm. Also my friend the DM made some comments about potentially switching this game back to the 5th edition rules, but backed off and started a separate campaign for that instead. I hope that doesn't mean that this game may be abandoned... - Rogue Trader. We investigated a mine site that we learned about from a futuristic treasure map. We had some fun and escaped successfully. We're starting to work together a bit better as a team, which is good. What isn't good is that there was a long gap between games, and now I've forgotten the rules again. Sigh. - 1st ed WFRP The Enemy Within. We finished up the mission in the little village, and returned to the capital. Then were sent right out again on another mission. Meantime my war-wagon and mercs have been absconded with by the Tsar. Well, maybe I'll be able to switch careers from Merc Captain to Templar now. I'll get a lot of advances if I do. - 1st ed AD&D Classic Dragonlance. We had a session scheduled but skipped it when three out of six players had holiday scheduling issues.
As I mentioned on my blog, I decided to drop out of the Troika game set in the Ultraviolet Grasslands. I need more time in my schedule, and this game just wasn't what I wanted. If I stumble upon a more traditional UVG game (however unlikely that may be) I'll reconsider.
I've got a Tekumel game to run in a week, and I'm looking forward to more WFRP, Shadowlands and Rogue Trader sessions. Then in three weeks we'll be back to Dragonlance. So I'll check in later. If you'd like to join or run an old-school game, drop me a line! Here's wishing you a Happy New Year.

And here we are again. Since my last post, we've had the following sessions:
- 1st ed AD&D in Shadowdale: in my friend's game we fought ice trolls and a white dragon (I ate its heart). Then we fell through the icy floor into a pile of, erm, dragon droppings in a subterranean lake (ie, we fell down the toilet). We had a huge battle with what I think were lizard men. We're kinda stuck, but a little scouting revealed more lizard men nearby who have some little boats we can steal over their dead bodies. More high-risk fighting to come.
- 1st ed AD&D in Tekumel: in my game the party met a flutist who they had been warned about, deep under Jakalla. They were ensorcelled somehow into following her, and when they came around they had to fight some ru'un (robots). They chased the flutist and after downing her realized that she too was a construct. Now lost in a maze of passageways, they wandered until they were attacked by an invisible opponent. Victorious, they made their way back to where they'd met the flutist, and will continue their mission next time.
- 1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: in my game the party escaped the trapped area and wandered in the dark for some time. Falling in a pit trap did them substantial harm. Eventually they rested and recuperated somewhat. They finally came upon a storage area. Just beyond was a group of draconians. The battle could've gone either way, but the party survived and even has a prisoner if they choose to spare him.
- 1st ed Warhammer Fantasy RP: in this game we set off overland on another mission for the Tsar's vizier. We came upon a huge encampment that seemed full of goblinoids. As we debated how to get past them and find our contact, we were discovered. Wary about engaging a thousand goblins in battle, we went to meet their leader. The goblins wanted our gear, and things almost came to blows (which would've certainly meant our deaths), but somehow the leader decided to send us as messengers to the human encampment they were laying siege to. Speaking to the human leader it seems we're about to get involved in a city full of undead. It's not how I had pictured my character's demise, but it sure looks bad.
- Rogue Trader: this game was cancelled at the last minute. See ya next time.
Now doesn't this all sound like fun? Want to get involved? Just let me know!

Time for another update on the ol' gaming schedule. It's been two weeks since my last post.
- Rogue Trader: Our referee bailed on us after only a few sessions. That was a disappointment, but again, this is the one where everyone wanted to play an outcast loner. Hoping for better luck next time.
- 1st ed AD&D in Tekumel: We had to cancel due to Superbowl weekend. Boo.
- 1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: We didn't even have a session in the past two weeks, but I had two players quit. That's a total of four players quitting out of eight, in eighteen months. And this after I prefaced running the campaign by stressing that participation would be a years-long commitment. I was about ready to throw in the towel on this one when I had some other friends express interest in joining the game, so I guess I'll keep it up for now and see how things go.
- 1st ed AD&D in Shadowdale: I still insist on using the Arduin critical and fumble tables for my character, even though everyone else in the game has decided to skip them. So my dwarf took a spear to the face and lost some serious charisma points. He's gonna have to wear a mask from now on. And as an assassin, we're all looking forward to how his personality warps. Should be fun.
- 1st ed Warhammer Fantasy RP: Thought we were going to die at the hands of quite a few undead, but it turned out that it was just the prelude to facing off against a powerful necromancer. We scored some magic items that might help us survive, but I expect some character deaths.
- Because we were joking about playing Blood Bowl instead of watching the Superbowl, I got together with a couple of friends and we played the PC version of Blood Bowl 2 online tonight. And now we're going to set up a league to include some other friends. I'm hoping this will be fun!
So altogether a mixed bag. Let me know if you'd like to join in!

OK I'm back after two weeks of gaming. Here's what's new.
-Blood Bowl 2: Our league has been a chaotic mess. In spite of that it's been very popular. We have some players that want to play multiple games every day, versus some that want to play a couple of times per week. We have complete beginners and well-seasoned experts playing each other. We have some folks that aren't following the rules. We have folks bailing out because they're not having fun. It's been quite a mixed bag. And so of course, another league has been established and this one is baldly chaotic in its mission. Some players have several teams, including custom teams, and there appear to be no rules. We're still supposed to finish the original tournament, and then start a new competition in that league. We'll see how it goes.
- 1st ed AD&D in Shadowdale: Still trying to fight our way out of the dragon's toilet. For some reason there are a lot of tough monsters down here. For instance, owlbears and a cyclops. In spite of using my character as "point" in spite of his lousy armor and hit points, the others healed themselves up like mad, resent being expected to get involved in fights, and don't want to take the front rank. I got a little miffed at that, because they still expected me to go lead them into danger. They made fun of my disfigurement and even handed me a mirror to see myself. So I stayed back and said nothing while they got stomped with a couple of cyclops boulders. We'll see how that goes.
- 1st ed Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, The Enemy Within: We escaped on skeletal horses. Mine caught fire and fell apart so I rode double with another player. His horse was shattered, so I rode with a third player whose horse was also shattered. And I got shot in the "nether region" and critically wounded. So we were on foot against hundreds of warg-riding goblins. Other party members eventually found us after the battle lying under a pile of bodies, barely breathing (having used a "Fate Point" to stay alive). It took us a month travelling through the frozen taiga to return to the city. I healed up after a week, and now we're going after that necromancer. Never a dull moment.
- 1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: I had a lot of interest from potential players, so I decided to continue the game. I finally had four new players, but in the week before the game two of THEM dropped out. So I have six players now, four original and two new. We played a session and it went very well. Most everyone participated, they didn't slaughter everything that moved, and they made some progress. They're still making some invalid assumptions, but what party doesn't? I remain hopeful for the campaign.
And that's the story. If you'd like to get involved in our stories, just let me know!

Hello again, it's been two more weeks so let's get caught up! Here's what's been happening.
- Blood Bowl 2: We finished the first league competition in spite of numerous teams dropping out. Different teams had played different numbers of matches, so it wasn't really fair to compare wins and losses. The guy who'd set up the competition wasn't happy playing his team any more, so he just wiped us all and we had to start brand new teams from scratch. This upset a few people and they dropped out too. But if you thought the teams were exotic before, they're extremely exotic now. That competition has started and it's just silly trying to play against some of those teams, so I'll play that one out and then call it quits. I said we ought to all compete using human teams, and the guy set up a competition for that too. That's more fun because it's evenly balanced. I may or may not continue to play Blood Bowl after that competition closes. I'll have to see. Honestly (and you can read the review I posted on my blog), I'm still not enamored with the game itself so I may just uninstall the thing and be done with it. Besides, these guys want to play at least once per day, and that's just too much for me.
- 1st ed AD&D in Shadowdale: our DM warned us that he expected some deaths with the next encounter, the cyclops. So we planned and went forth and wiped the floor with that one-eyed monster. Now we'll have to see if we can get out of these tunnels.
- 1st ed Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, The Enemy Within: More planning and consultations before we face off against a necromancer. We got advice and minimal assistance from various temples, then headed north disguised as a travelling circus. I'm the strong man. We picked up some hitchhikers and chanced upon thirteen hung bodies, then checked into another roadside inn. Always a mistake. We'll have to see what shenanigans the night brings.
- 1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: I introduced two new players into the game, one plays a kender and the other a gnome. The established party is taking pleasure in snubbing them, which isn't too nice. They dithered around but decided to camp in the enemy fortress after killing the guards in a guard room. Now they're arguing about whether to face off against a dragon or not. I think things might get hot pretty fast in the next session.
- 1st ed AD&D in Tekumel: I had no idea which way they'd decide to go. A giant burrowing worm attacked and almost killed a character, but they fired off an unknown magic item that turned the thing into a chicken. Pretty funny. They fought some lesser threats and found a chest full of scrolls. This ought to change the tone once they learn a bit. I hope it turns out OK.
That's where we stand. Keep in touch!

Hi again, not a lot of gaming over the past two weeks, but I've filled in the time by posting on my blog about the history of RPGs from my own perspective. Eight posts so far and still going strong, so check it out! But here are updates on the games we're playing. - 1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: Had to cancel when two players (three characters) out of six said they couldn't make it. The next session will be a decisive one so I hope we'll have a full cast in four weeks. 1st ed AD&D in Shadowdale: We finally got out of that dungeon. One player had completed his mission to retrieve an idol that had been in there, so we made our way back to Tilverton. We did some shopping, maintenance and networking, and sloughed off some former PC's whose players had dropped out. We bounced around aimlessly but finally got a mission from the patrol to kill a band of ogre highwaymen and their human leader. I suggested getting a cart with a ballista. Somehow this went out of control. It became a two-horse wagon hauling all sorts of gear including a gold-plated sarcophagus (!), and two half-orc hirelings. Once we got out of town our evil cleric retrieved a pair of skeletons he'd stashed in the dirt. Then our hirelings recruited a half dozen orcs (!!) to accompany us. The whole caravan headed out and we were attacked by minotaurs. The orcs started dying so our evil cleric animated their corpses, causing morale issues for the remaining orcs and our half-orc hirelings. Damn, this isn't looking good. - 1st ed Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, The Enemy Within: Our assassin did a sloppy job murdering some villager, turning everyone against us. We managed to sweet-talk the innkeeper into allowing us to stay the night, but it was obvious that there was something rotten among these farmer-types. We were supposed to be undercover as carnies though, so beyond some idle looking around there wasn't much we could do. We set off and arrived at the city of Praag. It was so cool, so rife with adventuring possibilities, but for some reason our GM didn't want us to spend any time there. So we told him what we wanted to see and he created "the Praag Montage." Next thing you know, we were heading on to the site of our mission, some stupid town where that pesky necromancer is supposed to be hanging out. IDK, maybe I can get us back to Praag once our GM has had some prep time. Doesn't seem likely though. Tekumel should be up in two weeks, I'm looking forward to that. In the meantime, check out my blog! Talk to you soon. themichlinguide.wordpress.com/

Hello again! The only gaming I've done has been as follows:
- 1st ed AD&D in Tekumel: one player found a Wish spell on a scroll. He was going to cast it to teleport the group to their goal, as they're on a time limit and sorta lost. But they realized that there was an item they'd lost that they'd need in order to accomplish their mission. Holding off on using the scroll, they decided to follow up on a little light that'd been following them around. The light eluded them though, and they spent a lot of time dealing with a plant in an intersection of corridors. Finally they sat in a room and cast the Wish successfully, acquiring the missing item. Sadly, when they left the room it seemed that the corridors had changed. They have no idea where they are, but the item at least shows them which direction they need to go.
- 1st ed AD&D in Shadowdale: We found where those ogres were holed up. It was a giant stone skull. We had a pretty desperate fight, in which my ballista proved useless. There was an ogre mage leader, but he ran away. Inside the skull were more ogres and two human prisoners they tried to use as hostages. Since we're evil we didn't care. They killed the male prisoner, but the female survived. We found a ton of gold guarded by two grell. They almost killed my character and one of my companions, but we were rescued. Meanwhile our female prisoner tried to run away. She almost met a fate worse than death when our two half-orc hirelings grabbed her, but our cleric of the Frost Maiden put a stop to that. Next we're going to check out the stairs that head down below the giant skull...
I'm looking forward to more Shadowdale in upcoming weeks, and to the Dragonlance team who missed a session. We should also get to do Warhammer; that game got cancelled this week.
As always, pipe up if you want in. See you next time!

Where does the time go? Let me update you with what I've been up to.
- 1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: We had a blast and introduced a new player. The party wandered a bit and rescued an elven princess and her guard. They ransacked an area and set off a sleeping-gas trap, but quick thinking saved the day. They got a view back up the valley and spotted an army a few hours away, so now they have an increased sense of urgency in their rescue attempt. They're expecting to fight a dragon next session. I can't wait.
- 1st ed Warhammer FRP, The Enemy Within: We entered the town that practices necromancy. We had some amusing conversations with various NPCs, but have yet to meet our contact. We had fun anyway. My character has almost exhausted the advances of his current career, so I'm anticipating taking on something new.
- 1st ed AD&D in Shadowdale: We searched the small set of rooms under the skull, then camped. Our DM got impatient waiting for someone to volunteer to take third watch and just had us be asleep without a watch. He also decided we had closed the door without a lookout. I called him out but he wouldn't budge. Then he had us be attacked in our sleep. It was just another fight, so I let it go. Then he had us attacked again. Then he let us leave, but had us encounter a patrol from the town we were based in, the one that had hired us to clear out the ogres in the first place. He had the patrol leader try and shake us down for some of our treasure! My character pointed a ballista at the guy, but he wouldn't back down in his demands so I fired it. I missed but the guards attacked us anyway. We won, but then we got into a big argument about the situation afterwards, so I've decided to drop out.
Our Warhammer GM will begin running a Top Secret game in the near future, and I'm looking forward to that. And this weekend I have another Tekumel session lined up. I'd also like to recruit another player for Dragonlance. As always, if you'd like to join in please let me know!

Here’s my latest gaming update:
- 1st ed AD&D in Tekumel: The best laid plans of mice… The group continued their wanderings, now triangulating with a little magic compass. I fully expected them to lock onto the big glaring clue I’d dropped a few sessions back, but they completely forgot about it. I had placed a combat encounter for them, to make sure they got to swing some swords and sling some spells, but they deliberately backed off and retreated from the fight. One player managed a divine intervention. He role-played exceedingly well and it was a very memorable session because of that. In any case, I will take a firmer hand next session if they still don’t have a clue. I’m also going to experiment with some Roll20 functionality for that session, but I’m not sure if it’ll work out satisfactorily or not. We’ll see.
- 1st ed Warhammer FRP, The Enemy Within: We finally met our contact, who gave us a map then promptly died. Cute. We went to meet a city guard officer who’s got us an invitation to dinner with the prince tonight. Time to break out the finery. I can’t wait to see how our mutated PC who never takes his helmet off fares at this one. Anyway, we headed up to the cult’s temple on the hill and split the party. The stealth group discovered a secret set of stairs descending into the hill, so we know what we’ll be doing after dinner! Oh, and I think I’m firm on having my character don the full mantle of Templar next. It will give him a few perks that I think I’ll enjoy.
On the horizon is the next session of my Dragonlance campaign. I introduced a new player last time, and have another new player in the wings to add this time. They’re still expecting to encounter a dragon. Hilarity shall ensue.
Also I’m hoping that new Top Secret campaign will pick up soon, fingers crossed.
As always, if you’re interested please get in touch!

Nice to be here to report on some good gaming. Let's get right into it.
- Those Dark Places: This was a one-shot introductory adventure to what they termed "industrial SF." I'm so over buzzwords, but the session was fun. The rules were transparent in our adventure and style, so I have nothing in particular to say about them, but I think the adventure could easily have been run in Classic Traveller. Anyway, it was just a one-shot.
- 1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: This was easily one of the best Dragonlance sessions we've had so far. The party made plans and executed them efficiently. They split the party to intelligently coordinate their efforts and bring them to fruition. Characters were brave and noble. Dice rolls added thrills. I will be pleased to level up their characters next time.
- 1st ed Warhammer FRP, The Enemy Within: We did a little dungeoneering and it was exciting. We had some eye-opening encounters. One of our PCs blew himself up, but managed to do so in the location where it would do the most good. Finally, we ended the session face-to-face with a vampire. Next game will be eventful, I can hardly wait. Although the other players are leading me to believe that we may not survive. Ah, well.
-1st ed AD&D in Greyhawk: I joined a campaign that was already in progress. It's fairly high-level, always odd to enter a new game with a character that powerful. But they've been slogging through the Giants series, so it's necessary. It will be nice to explore Greyhawk.
And finally, this Wednesday we are to begin an adventure using the original Top Secret espionage game from TSR. I never got to play it before, so I'm very excited. The module should take a few sessions, so here's hoping we make some good memories.
Let me know if you want in. Talk to you again soon!

Welcome to June! Here's a look back at our gaming for the past two weeks. - Top Secret: We've played two sessions so far. Our GM has tinkered with the rules, so <sigh> I'm not getting the true 1st ed experience, but it's still been a fun adventure. He's running the original introductory adventure, but he transplanted it from Europe to Africa in 1975. Not at all what I was expecting, but I'm enjoying the comradery anyway. Maybe for a true Fleming feel he should've used the Caribbean! (I've remarked many times that Fleming spent a significant percentage of his Bond stories there.) -1st ed AD&D in Greyhawk: Last time we played I felt a little underwhelmed with clerical attention to our wounds, so since we're encouraged to create a stable of characters (in old-school style) I've introduced a cleric of my own. I threw spells around, I didn't hesitate to enter melee, I helped other members of the party, and I was free with the healing powers. I played him very bright and upbeat, not "preaching from on high" at all. I think one or two players were a little surprised at how helpful I was, even though we're playing a Good party. There wasn't a whole lot of actual role-play either, and I alluded to that during the session. Afterwards there was some talk in the in-character Discord channel, so I participated. One of the characters made a point of praising the party's *other* cleric for turning undead, when my character had also done so. I couldn't let that pass, so I talked up my god a bit. Then a mage rolled his eyes about god-talk, saying it was magic that was the most powerful. Again, I couldn't let that go, but tried to be the wise councilor and give him advice without a sermon. Since my character has very high Charisma and Comeliness, he ought to be persuasive. Again, I'm hoping that I'm demonstrating how the game is best played. Fingers crossed. I'm having fun in any case. - 1st ed Warhammer FRP, The Enemy Within: We fought the vampire and it wasn't as bad as I'd feared. We had some other battles as well, and things are looking very good for a big barrel of Experience Points headed our way. I can hardly wait for next time, so I can officially switch my career over to Knight Templar! :-) -1st ed AD&D in Tekumel: Finally, finally, FINALLY I got the party to their goal. I got to show off a bunch of graphics and prep I'd done, and introduce a bunch of NPCs. Hopefully things go well over the next session or two. Then we can train and level, and enter the next stage of the campaign -- politics and intrigue. Stay tuned! And that's all she wrote. Let me know if you want a piece of the action! And don't forget my blog, where I'm chronicling the beginnings of the role-playing hobby. themichlinguide.wordpress.com/

Well, that was a fun two weeks. Here’s what happened.
- Top Secret: We had a combat, and I have to say I’m disappointed. My hand-to-hand skill is something like 169, well above most characters. But I’m told that it only comes into play if I try to grab someone’s gun out of their hand. Otherwise, there’s this rock/paper/scissors complicated matrix that takes NO skills into effect. The results are counter-intuitive, and I didn’t like the system at all. But the one-shot is serving its purpose by showcasing things about 1e that I wouldn’t like. I’m told that Top Secret SI is a marked improvement, so maybe I’ll check that out at some point instead.
-1st ed AD&D in Greyhawk: This is becoming somewhat awkward, as we went from meshing well to the DM’s girlfriend at odds with just about anything I say. I got some off-screen encouragement, and I’m still looking forward to the game, but I’m already a little tired of having someone with much less experience being condescending to me. Fingers crossed.
- 1st ed Warhammer FRP, The Enemy Within: Met a Boss and tried reasoning our way through it. There was one PC who couldn’t abide the situation however, so of course I supported my fellow PC. Big battle and we all survived. Touch and go there for a bit. Lots of XP and I’m very pleased with my advancement. I believe Kislev is pretty much done, so onward. I hope we still have at least a year of game-time left in this campaign.
-1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: Another great session, got a lot of ground covered. Lots of role-play, and a little combat as well. I went through quite a few maps in a short time though. Need more prep time for next session.
My next Tekumel session is in two weeks. That one should be RP-intensive as well, with the possibility of some combat if things go wonky. Fingers crossed.
As always let me know if you want to get involved. See you next time!

And it's the end of June, where does the time go? Here's what we've been up to.
- Top Secret: We invaded a casino and caused a lot of trouble. It was pretty exciting. I got to use a cigarette lighter / grenade, and toss a gas bomb down a ventilation shaft. Hopefully we get away with the prisoner we rescued. I think we might finish this adventure in one more session.
-1st ed AD&D in Greyhawk: I finally dropped out of this game midway into a session. The DM's girlfriend was chastising the entire party for not doing what she wanted to. Apparently she and the DM had met over the intervening week for some one-on-one roleplay (keep it clean, folks). And she used that time to investigate all the things we other players wanted to do. She fed us plenty of reasons why we shouldn't do those things, until the DM actually had to step in and correct the things she was saying. It seems she was deliberately telling lies, in character, in order to get her way. And she kept trying to prevent our characters from even doing our own legwork to acquire information. Ye gods, why would I subject myself to some young girl's bullying? Buh-bye.
- 1st ed Warhammer FRP, The Enemy Within: I was wrong, Kislev is not completed! We had some fun times, got the royal treatment, and were elevated in standing once again. Nice! And then, with our new titles came new responsibilities. It's off to war! My mercenary company was decimated. I only have an ogre and two guys to man my battle wagon left. But with our spell-caster's help we ought to be able to storm a city gate's defenders. It's gonna be a blood-bath.
-1st ed AD&D in Tekumel: OMG, we hit a major milestone and completed a quest that took years to play through! Not without some controversy, which is the way it should be. I've asked for some feedback from the players; then I'll get to work on prepping for the next session.
But my next game will be Dragonlance. I already did a lot of prep work on this one, so it should go fairly smoothly. Except now that I've said that, I guess things will go sideways! We'll have to see.
Thanks for reading, let me know if you want to get involved.

Hello folks, hope you're enjoying your summer. There's gaming to be had, here's what we've been up to.
- Top Secret: We wrapped up the adventure. None of the players died. Turns out that we didn't get special points as "investigators" for "completing" any investigations, although we accomplished all three of the mission objectives that were given to us. C'est la vie. We have the opportunity to advance our characters, if we were to ever play them again. Since I wasn't the only one a bit dissatisfied with the rules though, I don't see that happening again.
- GOZR playtest: That slot in the calendar will now be occupied by a playtest of a science-fantasy game called GOZR. You play monstrous post-apocalyptic grunts in a sort of Heavy Metal world. Also influenced by Bakshi's Wizards and Gamma World, I'm looking forward to having some fun.
- 1st ed Warhammer FRP, The Enemy Within: We went to war, and had to face off against giants and trolls. It sure looked deadly, but we managed to survive again. My battle wagon got whacked though, and I lost my warhorse out from under me. Beats the alternative, I must say. Whither next? I cannot say, but I'm really looking forward to more.
-1st ed AD&D in Dragonlance: Another good session, an even mix between role-play, action and problem-solving. I hope all the players enjoyed it as much as I did. I really think I might get to play the whole series!
I've got my Tekumel game coming up next, so I'll have to get myself into the right mindset again. Let me know if you're up for some gaming!

Whoops, looks like I forgot to update you! Sorry about that. Not that much gaming anyway, due to summer, but here are the updates.
- 1st ed Warhammer FRP, The Enemy Within: We reported back after our successful battles in the field. We were given a new assignment, to travel back south to our old stomping grounds. We're escorting a ditzy noble girl to her wedding. We're back on our battle-barge, traversing the network of waterways that serve as highways. We had a few memorable seemingly random encounters, but we're pushing on. Apparently there's some political brouhaha going on, which both I and my character just find confusing.
- GOZR playtest: This has turned out to be a fun game. I'm not sure how much can be attributed to the game itself, and how much to what we all contribute, but we're having a good time anyway. Actually the game seems a little easy and was just tweaked to make it even easier. Go figure. In any case we started in mid-action, but things have been sort of directionless. Seems like we're being encouraged to go to a big population center, which seems surprising considering it's a one-shot playtest. Why go to all the trouble of detailing such a place, for so little return? In any case, we'll see how it goes.
We had to cancel my Tekumel game as two players out of five were out. But I will be running a Dragonlance session tomorrow, so stay tuned for that one. Let me know if you want to throw some dice!
