OK, I saw Borderlands. (Seen it?) Cute, but it just doesn't take off. What makes something like The Fifth Element or Firefly or Indiana Jones work, and something like this just come off kinda flat? Yeah, should've felt like GotG 1, too. Grim lines delivered, wisecracks delivered. Action, wacko outrageous stuff. But somehow I just didn't care. The child actor was really good in spite of the rest, though. And everything should have a 70s soundtrack. But Borderlands was flat. Can't figure why.
