As some of you may have heard, Steve Perrin has passed away. He wrote Runequest. His rules were subsequently "borrowed" for Call of Cthulhu, Stormbringer, Basic Role-Playing and so many more. He lived about an hour away from me, and invited me to play in his regular campaign, but it was on a weekday night and traffic around Los Angeles is horrible. So I never did. And btw, his wife Luise was the illustrator for Runequest, cover and interior. I love her style.
